Red Room Session #004 — Muddy Poppy Dance
This session was all about learning how looping really works. Honestly, it got messy.
The genre leans into dance / pop, with a lot more vocal-driven tracks than usual.
Some transitions came out muddy, especially while experimenting with loops, but this session taught me a lot about timing loops properly, making faster decisions, handling vocal-heavy tracks and recovering smoothly when things don’t land
I’m also starting to build more confidence mixing vocal songs, which adds another layer of challenge when it comes to phrasing and timing. That’s part of the growth.
I got a little too comfortable at times, but that’s exactly why this session matters.
It showed me what needs work and what I want to refine before bringing this genre into a Balcony Session.
No edits. No shortcuts. Just practice, mistakes, and progress.
